New Release from Danielle Forbes

Destiny didn't grow up with a silver spoon in her mouth by any means. She was born to a single parent named Maureen - Maureen experienced things, that no young girl ever should. However, she was not going allow history to repeat itself.

Maureen was determined to raise Destiny to be a child after Gods own heart, but when Destiny reaches her teenage years, she decides that she wants a different life for herself. That's when Destiny leaves life as she's known and returns to her old neighborhood, to show her "schoolgirl crush" Romeo, that she is no longer the
little girl that lived across the hall; That is where life of the sweet choir girl ends, and all her problems begin.

Get your tissues ready, as you prepare for an ending you never saw coming!

Destiny is a must read!

From start to finish, this book will grab you and never let you go! Destiny will have you on the edge of your seat!

New Author, Danielle Forbes is brilliant as she tells a story that any parent, teenager and adolescent can relate to.

Your heart will pound as you read the story of a single mother, solely depending on her faith in God to free her only child from the hands of a dangerous man, but Romeo isn't giving up that easily. He is determined to show Destiny how to survive and live life on the streets by any means necessary.

Train up a child.... Proverbs 22:6

Embracing and showing your uniqueness that was rightly given to you before the foundation of the world.
God's purpose, His provision, your life's journey, destiny reach.
Have you ever tried to accomplish many things just as those of the world, be part of many things, and be in other's lives, and it just doesn't work? Forcing yourself to be liked, loved, and accepted, trying to get one's approval--did it ever make you feel unappreciative, insecure, not loved, maybe even unsuccessful, not as beautiful in and out, as God says you are? Are you questioning God regarding your life's purpose and/or feel times of not wanting to push forward?
If these questions are you, or someone you know near or far, I am here to share significant reasons that not only it's feeling alone, but that you are set apart. God made you different, and you are irreplaceable.
1 John 4:4
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
1 Peter 2:4
As you come to Him, the living Stone, rejected by human beings but chosen by God and precious to Him.
Pray, embrace, and receive your blessings with love.
"Just be normal," you may be told. LOL.

The Happiest Birthday Ever won a Royal Dragonfly Honorable Mention

The Happiest Birthday Ever recently won a Royal Dragonfly Honorable Mention in the Picture Book ages 6+ division!

The Happiest Birthday Ever was written to inspire kids and adults to have fun doing random acts of kindness on their birthdays. This past weekend a boy was spotted at our local grocery store passing out flowers and spreading kindness because it was his 7th birthday! There have been several stories posted on Facebook about how this boy has touched lives by this simple act of kindness. Turns out it was this book that gave him the idea to do this for his birthday. Seeing this book come to life and make a difference is exactly why I wrote it in the first place!

A Soul Walkin’ Home, Stories of Those Living on the Fringes

A Soul Walkin’ Home captures the author’s journey living and worshiping with those entrapped in poverty, prisons, human trafficking and addiction. Meet, among many, Miguel, a 19-year old prisoner, haunted by flashbacks of his father shooting his mother. Bearded Lady, a homeless, self-proclaimed shepherdess, who welcomes one who doesn’t belong into her flock at the storefront mission church. And James, an abandoned labor trafficked man, who receives God’s profound grace walkin’ home along a Georgia back road. Regardless of your faith, these unvarnished true stories will summon you to answer God’s call in Matthew 25, to serve the “least of these.”

Questions for reflection, journaling and discussion follow each story.

All author proceeds will benefit Episcopal Relief and Development, whose mission is to create more fulfilling lives in communities struggling with hunger, poverty, disaster and disease, (episcopalrelief.org).

Almost a Silent Night - New Release

It was indeed "Almost a Silent Night" that Christmas Eve of 1818 at St. Christopher Church in Oberndorf, Austria. Nate Colson shares in poem the true story that inspired Joseph Mohr to write the words of the well-loved Christmas carol "Silent Night," and the circumstances that led Franz Gruber to write the music for the guitar. This beautifully illustrated storybook truly demonstrates the biblical truth that when all seems lost, God will work things out for those he loves, and inspires to do his special work (Romans 8:28).
