Children's Book from Author Judy Tarvin

This book of short stories is for the enjoyment of the child who hears or reads each story. Although these stories, of course, are fictional, the cats named in each story are or have been a real family cat at one time or another. And when the reader reads with enthusiasm, suspense, and laughter, the child will become engaged and will want to hear it over and over again, which instills in the child the good behavior implied in each story. The moral or good behavior in each story suggests a Christian character followed by a scripture that applies to that characteristic, such as being kind, loving others that may be different, not being a bully, and acknowledging and being thankful for the gifts and protection that God has given each of us. This is also an opportunity for the reader to interact more with the child in the teaching of these characteristics, which will ultimately and hopefully become a vital part of their lives as children and adults. At the end of each story, there is a short biography of the real cat and the true facts that are written within the context of the story. Also, at the end of the book are a few pictures of each cat in real life.

Author Leslie Pobee Releases New Book

The story of the Liberian civil war may have fizzled out of the minds of those who were old enough to read about it or watch it on television. It was one of the many recorded atrocities of the twenty-first century when humans turned on themselves for no reason other than the vain pursuit of power. To the author, it was a period of loss, pain, anguish, disease, starvation, and a life of uncertainty. This memoir gives an account of how the author and his sister lost their parents in the civil war and survived under inexplicable circumstances when adults fully capable of fending for themselves did not. It simply shows that the strong hand of God keeps those who are helpless and shows up for them in ways and places that are beyond human explanations. You need to read this book to know how helpless humans are without the help of God. When left to our own devices, we will go to whatever extent to unleash pain and suffering on our fellow humans to get and keep power.

New Release from Author Dishon Tracy

But, God, He's My Husband. Most believers and non-believers alike do not believe in the supernatural. They do not really believe that there are other forces that surround us every day. They do not believe that God or Satan can be responsible for marriage, divorce, friendship, companionship, job, murder, etc.

Dishon Tracy came to know the existence of God and Satan in a real way. Though she was reared in church, all churches certainly do not have the same teachings, just as Jesus and the Pharisees teachings were not alike. Later, she was exposed to the power of the living God. She learned that when the Holy Spirit speaks, we better listen carefully and do what is required of us. In this book, you will learn what she did wrong and what she did right. You will get to know her in an Antichrist state and as a Christian. You will learn not to judge lest ye be judged. Come with her and find out what happens when you do not listen to the Holy Spirit. Some do not see tomorrow. However, in her case, she is here to testify the mercy of God's grace, even when we get off of His road of righteousness.

These things I have spoken unto you that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation; but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.--John 16:33

About the Author

Dishon Tracy currently resides in Georgia, where she lives

New Release from Author Darlene Rutkowski

This author was surprised to learn that there was only one Catholic pilgrimage company in the United States that offered a pilgrimage to Japan, a country she longed to visit, not only to visit Catholic and other historic sites, but also to see, once again, a friend she had not seen for many years. Even though this Catholic pilgrimage was canceled twice due to low enrollment, she never gave up hope that it would come to fruition. It should also be noted that typical Catholic pilgrimages are carried out using a chartered bus. This pilgrimage was unique in that it would be mostly carried out using their high-speed bullet train. To be able to take the bullet train throughout this country enabled her to see what it was like to live not only in a city in Japan but also the beautiful countryside. Hopefully, in the future, more Catholic pilgrimage companies will offer more pilgrimages to Japan to increase their knowledge of the history of Catholicism in Japan.

About the Author

Darlene Rutkowski was born in Ubly, Michigan. It is a small town of eight hundred people, approximately one hundred miles from Detroit. After graduating from high school, she moved to Detroit to find work. At age 21, she moved to San Francisco, California, where she lived and worked in this area for forty-five years and where she obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Once she retired in 2015, she relocated to the Villages, Florida, in 2017.

Author Julie Bill Release New Children's Book

Deep down in the jungle lived two of the sweetest, kindest, liveliest little monkeys ever! They were also brothers. Monk was the older of the two, with Little Monk being just a couple of years younger. They were also very smart little monkeys that loved their momma so much. The two brothers always listened carefully to their momma and always did exactly what she taught them to do, except for that one dreadful day when they were supposed to be going to school. This is where they made the biggest mistake of their lives. A mistake that almost changed their lives forever. Their plan to have fun and seek new adventures sorely backfired. It all began that Friday morning...

"Hey, let's skip school and go on an adventure!"

"Oh! That sounds like so much fun," said Little Monk. "Do you think we'll get in trouble?"

"No," said Monk, "Shh, we won't tell anyone, and we will be back by this afternoon, right on time, and momma will never know the difference!"

"Okay," said Little Monk. "If you think it's okay, let's go!"

"Come on! It will be a blast!" said Monk.

Pretty exciting right? Well, before we give too much of the story away, we can't forget about the wonderful cast of jungle critters they meet along the way which became the boys' lifelong friends including a big gray elephant, a teeny tiny giraffe, a beautiful parrot, and last but not least a very handsome Bengal tiger. These are the new friends that they make along the way that stayed with them through the good times and bad and helped them survive and conquer the dangers of the jungle.

You won't be able to put this book down, wondering what will happen next as the boys come face-to-face with the dangers and the predators that lurked in the jungle that day.

New Release from Author Ed Havens

Life on the farm as a son of an extremely legalistic preacher presented a challenge for a young boy whose main goal was to keep from spending an eternity in hell. The relationship he had with his angry father was one of crime and punishment, and that’s how he believed God operated as well. As one of five adventure-seeking country preacher’s sons who feared nothing, their antics reveal the trials and triumphs of a lifelong search for truth. The seemingly never-ending task of dismantling the sheep shed parallels the author’s struggles with finding truth in organized religion.

About the Author

Ed Havens is one of five country preacher’s sons who has devoted almost all his life to searching for truth about God. Ed and his brothers grew up in an environment that most people have never heard of today. There was no running water or indoor plumbing on the farm, and they heated the house with a woodburning stove. After a short college stint, he spent thirty-three years in some phase of the automobile business and was involved in music longer than that. Ed is a conservative, second-amendment Christian who believes that a stranger is simply a friend he hasn’t met.
