What's Wrong With You? - New Release

The authors have experienced or witnessed a child who looks or acts differently being asked, "What's wrong with you?" Although the intent may not be malicious, this question can be hurtful for the child who has a physical, cognitive, emotional, or sensory challenge. The purpose of the book is to raise awareness of the capabilities of children with diverse abilities. This book will educate children on interacting with a person who moves, looks, or acts differently. Children/students of diverse needs and abilities are still capable and desire the same experience in life as their peers. The authors would like to illustrate what others may perceive as children's weaknesses can actually be their gifts to us all.

Corpus - New Release

This contemporary fictional story, anchored in ancient biblical history, is about two obscure, violent convicts. Through the supernatural effects of a bizarre and mysterious wooden corpus, they reach out to one another, spanning time and space across two millennia, in each's individual search for meaning and identity in the midst of chaos, defeat, and despair. DJ Morgan and his first-century counterpart finally meet, to share the great cosmic moment of redemption. This is not just another book about the search for biblical antiquity. It is the gripping story of a disruptive, soul-searing, life-changing event for two men who were lost, then found.

Shoes to Fill - New Release

Lay your head down and rest.
Those blisters hurt, don't they?
"But they're so beautiful. How could they make me bleed?"
She said faintly.
I pulled her hair back
And tucked it behind her ears.
"I know . . .
But it is time for you to heal now.
Remember, darling, even red bottoms are painful,"
I replied.

Shoes to Fill is a collection of poetry about breaking and becoming through love and loss. Every page is hopefully giving a voice to the voiceless and teaching people that sometimes even silence is the best form of healing. We must walk miles in other's shoes to understand their pain.

New Release from Sandra F. Troutman

Legacy of a Rich Man, Joseph of Arimathea's Mission in Britain was ignited by the biblical
account of the man who gave Jesus his burial tomb after the crucifixion, as it appears in the
four Gospels and prophecy in Isaiah 53. This story was fueled by the legend of Joseph in Britain.
It was enhanced by Roman/British archaeological history.

Although Joseph of Arimathea appears in all four Gospels, no details are furnished about his
prior life, family, or his relationship to Jesus and the disciples. The lack of in-depth biblical
information about Joseph made it possible to imagine him with a plausible life as a church
founder during the first century AD Roman occupation in his adopted land of Britain.

A cast of characters ranging in age from teens to senior adults infuse the story with love, loss,
humor, and adventure.

The Good News of Salvation is woven throughout the story.

FYI...there are also dogs in the story.

Hard Love - New Release

In this world, we learn much about love, but it is only in relationship with God that we truly learn what love is and what it is not. On this side of eternity, we will not fully know all there is to know about the love of God. In fact, it is the things we experience in this world that reveal what we have believed about love and how we have allowed our experiences, culture, and relationships to shape our lives and define love for us. We then take that definition of love and write it upon the hearts and lives of others. How important it is then that we know the true definition of love and that we know the Author, God.

Jesus summed up all the commandments in this: love God and love one another. It sounds so easy, but most times, we find that true love is in fact quite the contrary. It is a hard love. This may not sound like what we would expect to hear, though let us pause but for a moment and consider what we have learned about love. Consider our relationships in this world, and if we are Christians, then let us consider our relationships with those in the body of Christ. Now let us consider how well we have done in loving God and loving one another. Would we still say that it is always easy? Likely, we could each think of times when we have endured suffering, hurt, loss, brokenness, rejection, abandonment, false accusations, and so much more or perhaps how we have not only been on the receiving end of these, but also we have caused others pain in our own pursuit of love.

It is my hope that throughout these pages we will examine the truth of each our own hearts and rather than redefining love or passing down a definition of love that we have been taught that is not the love of God that we discover or rediscover the true love of God. It is my hope that these words will reach many hearts that are longing for what our hearts were created for, fellowship with God, to know His love personally and share it with all. In order that we have this love, it begins first with the examination of our hearts with the truth and the truth of our own condition. A heart-seeking love must seek truth for we cannot have one without the other.

Top of the Morning to You - New Release

This devotional series originally came about in 2015 because I was in need of a morning devotional after finishing several from a Bible Application on my phone. Then it came to mind, that I should do one myself. Well, February is National Heart Month, and I love studying about the heart of David and so I started to write a small piece every morning as a text message on my phone to several of my friends. I had no clue, as to how I was going to be able to have enough material to complete a month of devotionals. Little did I know that there was more... lol. It was also during this time, that some very special people in my life were going through life changing journeys, and this devotional series became an opportunity to reach out and speak words of encouragement, hope.

Again in 2018, I asked for a commitment from several of my Facebook friends to join me, at least until 14 February. I told them that they could decide if they wanted to continue. Most continued and many were added. From there it expanded to 6 months of daily devotionals written in Facebook Messenger format. You may even see some comments from the readers.

Top of the Morning (TOTM) 2018 was dedicated to my granddaughter, Elvisha Jo Henry, who had heart surgery on 12 February of that year. We thought she was to have a new valve installed, virtually a new heart, but God had another plan to repair her existing heart. Many of us have new or mended hearts, through Christ Jesus and that is special! Looking forward to having you join me on this journey... look for words of hope, love, and encouragement! God's heart... All things are possible...when we are lined up with the presence of God and our hearts are in rhythm and flow with his heart. I believe it. Enjoy the journey!
