Covenant Books Author Laurie Fisher Signing Books

Laurie Fisher at a local book signing! Way to go Laurie!

For anyone who has experienced turbulence on an airplane, it would be true to say that it usually comes without warning and happens quite suddenly. Things become a bit chaotic as you experience firsthand a change in pressure which rocks the airplane to and fro causing one to grasp the arm of the seat very tightly, lean one's head back, close their eyes for a moment, and say a prayer.

Without knowing for sure, you, in fact trust, that the pilot is maintaining his composure and that he has been properly trained, skilled, and experienced in flying the airplane in any and all kinds of weather. Although there are certain safety precautions and standards set in place to protect or safeguard you against the danger of turbulence, it is at that point that one comes to the realization how much trust you put in the pilot flying the plane to get you through the phase of turbulence and get you to your destination safely.

Trouble--there is no question about it. Everyone at one time or another has been faced with the turbulence it brings whether in health, family, finances, relationships, or something else.

Psalm 34:19 says in the Amplified Bible that many hardships and perplexing circumstances confront the righteous, but the Lord rescues him from them all. Many times, God gets the blame when bad things happen and the god of this world the devil is never seen as the real person to blame.

Jeremiah 29:11 in the Amplified Bible says, "For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you, " says the Lord. "Plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster to give you a future and a hope."

Whatever trouble it is that you are going through, you can know that you have the victory and that God has not deserted you in your time of need. God has an amazing plan for your life, and you can trust him and take him at his Word knowing that what he said he will do for you he will do and he will see you through to your final destination!

Covenant Books, "Our Teenage Years"

T. J. Wray grew up in a small town. He grew up quick and got his first job at only thirteen years old. He knew people depended on him to do his job every day. So for two years he never missed a day. No matter the weather conditions, he always got the job done. He learned responsibility for his actions at a very early age. He was very active in his church and with his youth group. He learned a lot from the positive role models in his church like his youth pastor and his Sunday school teacher. He didn't party or drink in junior high or high school. He was responsible and went to work after school. He got his driver's license at age fourteen and drove himself everywhere, while the other kids still rode the bus. Even though he was a teenager, he was an adult! He really enjoyed life in a small town. Everybody knew him and knew his truck. They would wave at him as he drove down the street. They would say hello as they passed on the sidewalk or in stores. He said that in a small town, people "actually" shook hands. In his teenage years, he was an avid fisherman. He used to travel around the state of Oklahoma looking for the best fishing holes. He once said that he would rather "fish, than breath." There's nothing that compares to hooking into a largemouth bass. He was quoted as saying, "If they don't ride motorcycles and go fishing in heaven, I don't want to go!"
Nowadays, he lives in the big city. He says that nobody knows anybody, and they don't want to. He says that everyone is always in a big hurry and would rather run over you than wait for one minute for you to move. No one ever seems to slow down and enjoy life, in the big city. He really misses Life in a Small Town.

God's End Time Army

God is building the body of Christ to be a powerful spiritual army on the earth to carry out his plans in these end-times. It is an army of believers totally sold out to God with undivided devotion and a determination to serve him with all their hearts. They have counted the cost of following Jesus and know that there is nothing greater in life than to do his will on earth. This is the army God is using to build his kingdom and display his glory on the earth. Each believer is chosen and called by God into this army. Question is how many will say yes to the calling.

Covenant Books "Ms. Greenthumb's Garden"

Ms. Greenthumb's garden is busy with activity. Deep in the ground, something is happening, crashing, stretching, grunting...and pop! The seeds are sprouting, busting through their shell. The plants are pushing their way to the top of the soil. "Alas, fresh air and warm sunshine, but we sure could use a drink of water," say the peas. "Hey, Mr. Dandelion, you're blocking my rays and stealing my water. Who invited you to the garden party?" "Wait! do you hear that?" says the bean. Thump, thump, thump, thump, thump thump. "Oh no, it is a rabbit, and he is coming toward us."

These are only a few of the many challenges they face living and growing in the garden.

Teresa Meyerhoeffer Christensen, Angels Unshelved.

Life, death and love have no boundaries for a cast of timeless characters in Angels Unshelved. It is a tale that takes the reader on a journey back and forth between heaven and earth as Emma Lanrete (anagram for eternal) tells her comatose mother she will give her life one more year to see if it is worth living and to determine if she is enough . . . “She had a deadline. Ironic use of the word. In 365 days or 525,600 minutes, she would disappear or be no more. Giving herself that much more time seemed to make it justified. If in one year she could not see any difference she made in the world, she would leave it.”

Emma has only three people that might care if she is gone—well maybe just two . . . her genetically challenged brother and her best/only friend Cash, the third is in love with someone she cannot even see, so she’s a bit distracted. No one at school knows she exists, and her father is never home. Loneliness is thick in her life. Birds fill in as friends. Emma is not aware that an “above-team” of five ancestors is assigned to help her change her mind.

Covenant Books Author Barb Jenkins Pens A Story of Courage and Strength. Must Read!

Burying Jane Doe: A Journey of Courage and Strength is written to encourage survivors of rape and sexual assault, especially women, since they make up the largest of the population of those who have been affected by this. This is a hard subject but affects so many. I wrote the book from my own personal experience with rape and identity recovery, because in the midst of that storm, I could not find anything to speak of that could be read to give much-needed hope, comfort, and strength for that road I was forced to walk. There is a gaping hole on this subject. This book will take the reader through from beginning, during, and after the storm, and will illuminate the presence of an Almighty God, who is in the midst of every stage of the journey. This book will give voice to the heart cry of every woman, man, and child who has been assaulted in this way. It takes the reader on the ride from the depths of despair and back to peaceful waters again, reassuring them of the love and peace and presence of the Father. At the same time, it is educating the public on rape culture, PTSD, trauma, secondary trauma, the justice system, and the right and wrong ways people handle this subject and those affected by it. This is a book that is geared for survivors and their loved ones after sexual assault and rape. It is my hope that you will find peace, restoration, and the knowledge that you are loved and beautiful and a treasure to our Father in heaven, living forward!

Hard-Earned Insight From Covenant Books Author John Walsh

Early in his life, John Walsh made a commitment that he would do whatever the Lord told him to do, even if he didn't understand why. This commitment provided a foundation for his life. He has followed God's direction from the heartland of America to a bustling market in Cambodia, from a bus in Jerusalem to a water taxi in Bangkok.

John doesn't seek God's direction in every decision he makes, but he has found that God steps in whenever he needs to change course. This book tells about a few times when God interfered with John’s plans. This usually brought about a battle of wills between a man and the master of his destiny.

The stories of these struggles are written in a casual, authentic voice that invites you to pour a cup of coffee and join John on the front porch. He will touch your heart with his hard-earned insights and delight you with his adventures around the world.

Wish You Communicated Better? Must Read This!

This book guides women to advance their success rate in the business world by some behavior and attitude changes. Women need to: speak in facts, and increase volume and lower voice-pitch for credibility. Stop smiling. Everyone is on overkill for niceties and apologies. Use more control in meetings, stop interruptions, increase efficiency, and improve decision-making. Women need to understand how men think. Men bond, women don't. Men support each other, women don't. Men do not internalize mistakes, women do. Men are not emotional (at least openly). Women are still seen as being hormone-directed--accurate or not.

Covenant Books Author Bebe Proctor And Her New Release "Good Night. See You Tomorrow. I Love You"

"Good night. See you tomorrow. I love you."

My five-year-old son would get out of bed several times a night and say this to us. My husband and I started saying it to each other up until the night he passed away. I had the quote put on his grave stone. It was also read at the funeral. It is like going to sleep and one day seeing your loved ones again.

Creative Ways to Promote Your Book

During my career, I observed fellow officers suffering in silence as their spirit was crushed. I watched perpetual negativity, pressure, and lack of appreciation take its toll on many. I learned the impact of these struggles much too late for some who chose to take their own lives. Officers often encounter circumstances so overwhelming, traumatic, stressful, and painful they don't wish to face them any longer. They (you) need support without stigma. I pray those who may be feeling desperate and hopeless will seek help. Please know your life matters. People do care about you. But remember, even if people somehow fail you, God never will!
