New Release from Walter Glover, MTS

The mountains are calling and I must go.

-John Muir

Another in his series of exciting mountaineering stories, senior citizen adventure author Walter Glover continues his quest to climb the world's famed Seven Summit mountains. After reaching Mount Everest base camp, the summits of Kilimanjaro, and the highest peaks in Russia and Australia, the popular series turns to South America. Mount Aconcagua is the highest mountain in the southern hemisphere, its peak reaching 22,000 feet. The expedition is marked by camaraderie and peril. Walter then turns his climbing boots homeward to Mount Rainier to prepare for the Seven's final two peaks. A fall and the discovery of three aneurysms, one which required open-heart surgery, sidelined him-temporarily.

A retired hospital chaplain, reviewers frequently remark that the centerpieces of Walter's books are spirituality and inspiration. Walter's altruistic aim was to raise money with his climbs for children's wellness initiatives-$140,000 to date.

Now more than going high, he goes long trekking the pilgrimage across Spain the Way of St. James, El Camino, and across England. In February 2019, he and friend Nancy Conner and his cousin Pilar French trekked, kayaked, and bicycled across South American Patagonia near Cape Horn.

Book III contains vivid accounts of tumultuous weather, making friends, and unexpected challenges. Walter writes with the warmth of a real person and includes his spiritual journey as well as the physical challenges of high-altitude mountaineering at age 64. His stories are told with a healthy dose of self-deprecating humor as well as with prayers and psalms.

Then, Let Him Speak - New Release

Then, Let Him Speak is a book of poetry, short stories, and artwork produced throughout the high school years and on through the young adult and early career years of Mr. Dantzler. It reflects his years as one of six children of a single mother who was determined to care for and see her children's lives to adulthood. Living in the Washington DC area (The DMV), and spending impactful summers and a few early school years with his Aunt and Uncle Reese in Goose Creek, SC. He walked the streets many days and nights, learning from what he saw and heard and felt-people struggling to survive with little to no provisions, hustling one another, working hard on nine-to-five jobs that paid very little, and young black kids scrambling to escape the hands of either the jump-out boys or the stick-up boys. Yet, Then, Let Him Speak also reflects the love he longed for, the pain of rejection, and sentiments of a young loner who often asked the existential questions of his life. His hope is that you will enjoy this project and that it may also enlighten and inspire you within the fulfillment of your purpose and direction of hope, freedom, and the salvation of life.

New Release from Todd W. Schultz. Ed D

Did you know that God wants to be so familiar to you that you can recognize him in your everyday life when he relates to you as the living God, your heavenly Father, and your closest friend? One of the most common ways that God will connect with you is through your private meetings with him. Your quiet meeting place with God is called your quiet time. God places great value on the quiet time you spend with him. As you value the practice of meeting with him on a regular basis, you will find your relationship with God growing to new levels of closeness and familiarity.

The problem is most Christians don't regularly meet with God in a daily quiet time because they don't know how to meet with him. New believers in Jesus Christ are rarely taught this basic practice. They are just encouraged to pray and read their Bibles. Rarely do they receive teaching on how to relate to God so that they can recognize when God relates to them.

Intimate Encounters: Relating to God through Your Quiet Time offers a practical program for new believers to develop the discipline of relating to God through daily quiet times. Intimate Encounters will teach you how to overcome distractions, read and study the Bible so that you can hear God's voice and learn about the Bible, pray the prayers that originate in the heart of God, develop new levels of intimacy with God through meaningful worship, and encounter God through your closest Christian relationships.

Intimate Encounters provides a program of study suitable for individuals or small groups. There are study helps strategically placed throughout each chapter and a small group discussion guide at the end of each chapter. New believers will find this program a helpful how-to guide for developing a close and familiar relationship with God during the early years of their Christian lives.

The Blessed Gift of Desperation - New Release

Mary Lou is leaving Hollywood and going home, the place she left years before in order to pursue her dream of becoming a great singer. That dream is dead along with her dreams of marriage and a future with her alcoholic lover, who is bent on drinking himself to death.

She is destitute, ill and on the verge of a nervous collapse. She has no choice except to throw herself on the mercy of her father. She knows that even though her dad said she could come, of course he would never turn her away. The last time she came home, she created a scandal which he finds hard to forget.

Her father, Aaron Gerhardt, owns a large ranch which he runs in partnership with his son and his family. Their lives consist of hard work, their devotion to God and their small country church.

No sooner does Mary Lou arrive than she realizes she is in a particular hell from which there is no escape except to die. Failing suicide and coming to the realization she does not want to die, she has to find a way to live. Even though she doesn't believe in God, she becomes open to the idea that perhaps he is the answer. Along the way, she discovers that God has planned a life for her that is more exciting and satisfying than anything she could have envisioned for herself.

This is God's story-a story of redemption, restoration, love, and forgiveness.

"And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten," (Joel 2:25 KJV).
