Over the past thirty years, Cresselle has dealt with domestic violence, sexual assaults, a suicide attempt, homelessness, and many other traumatic experiences spanning back to her childhood. The poems in this book have been written over the course of her life and are inspired by the things that she experienced or observed. The topics vary from things in everyday life to more abstract thoughts.
